My goal is for my household to be a bit over BA (have 2.12 times its expected net worth) by the time my DH is 50.

Starting Number (4/30/07) = 1.32 times expected net worth

First Year Quarterly Goals:
7/31/07 = 1.440 [Result: 1.510]
10/31/07 = 1.435 [Result: 1.569]
1/31/08 = 1.430 [Result: 1.541]
4/30/08 = 1.425 [Result: 1.400]

Second Year Quarterly Goals:
7/31/08 = 1.550 [Result = 1.515]
10/31/08 = 1.550
1/31/09 = 1.545

Recouping Wasted $ / How Embarrassing ...

When doing my pre-garage sale sort, I came across 2 boxes of books in the garage, many unread. Oh my, how embarrassing! In the past few years I have been very good about just checking out books from the library, but prior to that I obviously had a bad habit of buying books that I did not even read!

Okay, lesson has been learned, and now it's time to move on and recoup some of that wasted money.

Yesterday I listed those books on Half.com and have already sold 2 of them.

I now have a special book that I keep on my bookself; it is one of those blank journal books and I wrote "Books to Read" on the spine. In it I am noting the books I am posting for sale that I am still interested in reading ... so that I can check them out from the library in the future! Smile

You are not alone!! I have a roomful of books I need to go through and list on half.com! Many of these books have never been read, but of course at the time I bought them I truly believed I "needed" to own the book. I love the "books I want to read" journal...I think I will borrow that idea and put it to use as I sort the books!

I would turn cartwheels except I'm afraid I might break something and end up with a big fat emergency room bill ... I now have orders for 5 books!

I must remember that I am not actually MAKING money ... just recouping some of what I originally wasted.
